Fire resistant coatings

Fire-retardant coatings are used to delay the destruction time of structures during fire, and in fact these coatings increase the critical temperature (degradation temperature) at the time of firing. the important properties that should investigate for designing fire retardant coatings are fire reaction and fire endurance. These coatings are classified into halogenated, non-halogenated, expanding and inorganic groups, depending on the type of materials used in their structure.   • Fire retardant coatings contain combinations that do not ignite when exposed to direct fire and have self- extinguishing properties. Usually these coatings are used in applications that self-extinguishing properties is required.
  • Fire protection coatings are completely resistant to direct flame, and no heat can be transferred to the underlying surface. These coatings will be used for special items that require a direct flame retardant struc-ture to maintain their properties, such as firefighting lines exposed to jet fires, etc
